Information
In the event that it becomes necessary to close school due to weather or for any other reason, the announcement will be made over radio stations WSTJ, WGMT, WNKV and WMTK. Television stations 3 and 5 will be notified prior to 6:00 a.m. when school is to be closed for the day. In addition, parents/guardians and staff will be notified by our new ALERTNOW notification service. The ALERTNOW service allows us to send telephone messages to your primary telephone number providing you with important information about school emergencies or events.
What you need to know about ALERTNOW
- Caller ID will display the school's primary number when a general announcement is made.
- Caller ID will display 411 if the message is a dire emergency.
- ALERTNOW will leave a message on any answering machine or voicemail.
- If the ALERTNOW message stops playing, press any key, 1-9 and the message will replay from the beginning.
